The 2004 UCP Annual Conference, Exploring Revolutionary Ideas, will be focused on Fund Development, Programs and Services, Board and Volunteer Development, Medical Issues, and Policy Issues. The pre-conference sessions being offered include affiliate Web site template training and a volunteer development workshop. Also, UCP will honor the Medical Research and Kathleen Maul Leadership Award winners. The grand finale of the conference will be the Awards for Excellence Dinner.
Additionally, the day and a half Development Conference that precedes the annual conference will focus on the new PSAs, as well as sessions on marketing tips, ethics in marketing and fundraising, special events, and setting up a development office, among others.
A new addition to the 2004 conference is a one-day Therapy Conference geared toward Occupation and Physical Therapists, which will be held on Friday, April 2.
The Copley Square Hotel, built in 1891, is a local landmark and is the city's oldest, continuously operated hotel. Just blocks away are Newbury Street, Copley Place and Prudential Center. The Boston Public Garden, Boston Common, State H and Beacon Hill are just a short walk or T-ride away.
