Botox to alleviate hip pain?
Current message:
Not advised by my son's neuro...
A few months ago, a doctor affiliated with the hospital my son's pediatrician is affiliated with recommended botox for reducing the tightness in his legs. I waited until his chekup with a new neurologist at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler, and he recommended strongly against it. I was surprised, but he said that as a toxin, your body can build up resistance to it to the point it no longer is effective. He did not at all think it was a good idea unless there was no other recourse. I'd be curious to hear other's feedback from their neurologists... Dave
