Help w/research on Hospitals performing Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy
Kirsten Parr-Matthews (dbkirsten@aol.com)
I have a 3-1/2 year old daughter with spastic diplegia with some involvement in her left hand. She uses a walker for short distances but prefers to knee-walk. We would like her to get the surgery but are having difficulty in deciding where to go. Our physical therapist has highly recommended St. Louis but we have also been told the University of Michigan Neurology department has had many successes. HELP. Has anyone been able to get unbiased research or reports on the differences and advantages between/of these two hospitals? Thank you so much for any help anyone can offer. Kirsten Parr-Matthews
